Financial literacy is not very common in the Philippines. It seems to be a practice only for the already rich. Maybe because they know what it took to get there and so they would prefer to stay wealthy? I wouldn't say I'm fully financially literate but I know some stuff. And it's always about your priorities. If you prefer spending over saving to really enjoy life, can't help you there, mate.

To be honest, I'm just glad I'm not in any major debt I can't seem to pay off even if I don't have my own house & lot or a car. Just looking at the bright side of things. So how do I stay debt free at my late 20's? Here are a few tips I practice. If you're already rich, please skip to the next programming article.

How do I know what to do? Where do you find this information? Why do I act like a know it all?

These are questions I sometimes get asked at work that I don't have a definite answer to. (Except the last one though. I'm the humblest person. Ever.) So I took the time to think about it so I could have a better answer the next time I'm asked. And like the lazy dude that I am, lead them to this blog post for answers they be a-searchin' fer, no matter if you're a programmer or not. So I generalized it all for y'all. I'm probably just being Captain Obvious here but for the sake of having it laid out in a blog post, here it is.

Because it's the year of the horse and I've got the wanderlust bug crawling in my hair. Pictures or it didn't happen, you say? Well, I didn't build my blog (and pay enough to host too many pics) so I used a separate (and as usual, free) platform instead which I really enjoy writing on. It's pretty easy to use, and the photo layouting options are pretty nifty. I hope they don't say goodbye like Readmill after I make too many posts on it. That will make me pull all the few hair strands left under my arms just to numb the pain.

#PHthankyou - Dear world, you got our back when it got whipped real crazy by Yolanda/Haiyan. Amidst the chaos, cultural, racial, religion, national boundaries, you were all here with us, in person and in support to help us get back on our feet. As someone who has relatives that were affected by the typhoon, you have my deep, sincere thanks. Thank you. You have showed me that as a human, there is no boundaries. It is not clear in this paragraph but I am honestly teary eyed typing this in. It's crazy. That phenomenon when a huge part of the world stopped to help us out. Again, thank you.

Okay, anybody who knows me on Facebook or Twitter knows that I am currently obsessed with doge stuff. It's a skill.

It's 4 weeks into January and I have made 9 posts including this one. I read my posts again and they are not as funny as I felt as I wrote them. Maybe because I'm sober now. And have had enough sleep. Makes sense.

So congratulate me for sort of maintaining 2 lame posts per week. Where the hell are my fans, anyway...
